Barbara Perry Obituary

63 of 1596 Berwick Road, died at 8:54 am Thursday, August 18, 2005 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg. She was born September 6, 1941 in Galesburg to Ray & Hazel Randall Bird. She married Donald F. Perry, Sr. on February 18, 1973 in Abingdon. He survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Tammi (and husband Jeff) Grohmann of RR Abingdon; one stepson, Donald "Butch" (and friend Susan Ostrander) Perry, Jr. of Cameron; one stepdaughter, Mary (and husband Darrell) Hepner of Galesburg; one adopted son, Donald "Troy (and wife, Shelley) Curtis of Galesburg; special adopted mother, Bertha Kilburn of Abingdon; one granddaughter, McKay Elizabeth Grohmann; 7 step grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren; four sisters, Martha Hatch of Geneseo, Nancy (and husband Robert) Murrell of Roseville, Sharon (and husband Marion) Lance of Moline and Linda (and husband John) Bloomfield of Bellpre, OH; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. She worked at the former Blue Bell Mfg. in Abingdon and later was a cook at Abbe Lanes Restaurant and the Roseville Lanes. She loved playing cards and dancing. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter and family. She also loved to care of little children and making them a part of her family. Services will be at 3:00 pm Saturday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 until the time of service on Saturday at the chapel. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
