C. Ray Harrison

, 69 of 507 N. Main St. died at 4:48 am Thursday, May 18, 2006 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. He was born on September 25, 1936 in Greeneville, TN to William B. and Susie McAfee Harrison. He married Johnie Louise Simpson on December 14, 1956 in Greeneville, TN. She preceded him in death on October 7, 1987. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Donald and Rick, and five brothers. . Surviving are three daughters, Doris Lockwood of Abingdon, Robin Harrison of Bushnell, and Lisa Harrison of Abingdon; one son, John Harrison of North Henderson, IL; three brothers, Arlen Harrison of St. Augustine, IL, Ted Harrison and Rusty Harrison both of Greeneville, TN; four sisters, Dottie Mathis, Kathy Greene, Delola Harrison and Patsy Harrison all of Greenville, TN; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He grew up in Greeneville, TN and has lived most of his adult life in the Hermon and Abingdon areas. He worked for the Maytag Corporation for 30 years retiring in 1995. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
