48 of Galesburg, formerly of Abingdon died at 6:32 am Thursday, May 22, 2008 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg. She was born on March 13, 1960 in Galesburg to Larry and Mirmadean "Mimi" Myers Clayton. She married Aaron W. Woodruff. She later married Daniel Brown. Carol is survived by her mother, Mimi of Galesburg; her children, Aaron W. (and Malia) Woodruff, Jr. of Galesburg, David (and Tara L. Anderson) Woodruff of Altona, Shanda (and Joseph Bell) Brown of Galesburg and Shane Brown of Abingdon; 11 grandchildren; her brothers, Larry (and Debra) Clayton, Jr. of Decatur and Gary Clayton of Abingdon; her sister, Vilma (and Chad) Fox of Cameron. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Clayton and two grandsons. Carol grew up in Abingdon where she attended school. She had lived in Galesburg the past eight years. She became disabled due to Multiple Sclerosis. She enjoyed crocheting, drawing, singing and was a good cook. She also loved her family and grandchildren. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Cremation will be accorded. A time of remembrance with the family will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel followed by a prayer service led by Mrs. Eleanor Landon.
