Christine Rene Erwin

39 of Galesburg, died at 12:25 pm Thursday, April 19, 2007 at her home where she resided with her boyfriend, Chandler Anderson and her daughter Kirsten Erwin and her son Quinton Simmons. She was born on April 26, 1967 in Galesburg. Surviving are her children,, Kaylin D. (and Brad Mecum) Erwin-Rogers of Peoria, Justin Lyle Swank of Stuart, FL, Kirsten Erwin and Quinton Simmons both at home in Galesburg; a grandson, Braeden Mecum; her mother, Leota Hensley of Stuart, FL; her stepfather, James R. Hensley, Sr. of Abingdon; her siblings, Larry (and Kena) Erwin of Galesburg, Jeff (and Dawn) Erwin of Stuart, FL, Deanna (and Jeff) McMurtry of Palm City, FL and James R. (and Shelly) Hensley, Jr. of Abingdon; 10 nieces and 3 nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. She grew up in Abingdon and graduated from Abingdon High School in 1985. She had lived in Galesburg the past five years. She last worked in housekeeping at Best Western Prairie Inn in Galesburg. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, dancing and spending time with her family. Graveside service will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Visitation will be from Noon until 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel.
