D. Wilamene "Willie" Ryan

88 of St. Augustine died at 11:05 pm Monday, March 17, 2008 at OSF St. Mary Medial Center in Galesburg. She was born on June 29, 1919 in Indian Point Township, Knox County, IL to W. Thomas "Tom" and Julia E. Hollister Baker. She married Grant E. Ryan on May 8, 1946 at the home of her parents in Abingdon. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1964. She was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Gary Eugene Ryan, a daughter Diane M. DeJaynes, a granddaughter Kassandra Jolene DeJaynes and two brothers. She is survived by a son, Tom (and Ginger) Ryan of Burns Flat, OK; a daughter, Linda (and Dan) Schisler of St. Augustine, IL; her grandchildren, Julie Keltner, Jason Keltner, Jennifer DeJaynes Graves, Jared Ryan, Amanda Ryan, Jill Kinney, Joshua Ryan and Lindsey Schisler; her great grandchildren, Bailee Ryan, Marcus DeJaynes, MaKenna DeJaynes, Luke Keltner, Liam Keltner, Seth Ryan and Faith Ryan; two sisters, Editha Brashear of Gilson and Clarene (and Richard) Weller of Englewood, CO. She graduated from Abingdon high School in 1937 and was a member of the Half Century Alumni Club. She worked at the former Federal Savings & Loan in Abingdon and also as a waitress at Club 41 Restaurant in St. Augustine for 28 years retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Abingdon Christian Church. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Mrs. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday at the chapel. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in her honor.
