Dolly Louise Patch

68 of Prairie City and formerly of Abingdon died at 6:25 am Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006 at her home. She was born on December 26, 1937 in Abingdon to Harry O. and Mary E. Brown Poulson. She married Jack D. Patch on April 12, 1954 in Galesburg. He survives. Also surviving are three sons, Jack D. Patch Jr. of Avon, Michael L. Patch of St. Augustine and John (and Rebecca) Patch of Ashdown, AR; one daughter, Teresa (and Michael) Ward of Abingdon; one sister, Florence Patch of RR Galesburg; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Howard, Dick & John Poulson. She grew up in Wataga, IL where she attended schools. She had also resided in Abingdon for many years and later in the Prairie City area. She worked at the former Admiral Corp. in Galesburg and at Abingdon Industries. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ while living in Abingdon. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Sunday, September 24, 2006 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Rev. M. Annette Faull will officiate. Burial will be in the Wataga Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice.
