Donald L. Reagor

Donald Lee Reagor, 74, of 272 Knox Road 400 E., died at 5:20 am Friday, January 31, 2003 at his home. He was born February 2, 1928 in Roodhouse, Il. to William E. and Amand Smith Reagor. He married Leona M. Rochester on October 27, 1950 in Roodhouse. She preceded him in death on July 6, 2000. Also preceding him in death were his Parents, one Brother and one Sister. Surviving are one son, William L. (and Claudia) Reagor of Roodhouse, one daughter, Debra (and Lewis) Turner of RR St. Augustine, one brother, Vince Reagor of Roodhouse, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He graduated from Roodhouse High School. He served in the US Army for three years. He worked as a mental health technician for the State of Illinois in Jacksonville, Galesburg and Peoria for 36 years, retiring in February of 1988. He had lived in Abingdon and St. Augustine areas since 1973 where he also worked as a dispatcher of the Abingdon Police Department and later as an attendant at the Wareco gas station. He was a member of Harry E. Wiles American Legion Post #381 in Abingdon, Manchester Masonic Lodge and Springfield Shriners. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyded attending high school sporting events. He also enjoyed bowling, Hunting and fishing. Graveside service with military rites will be at 10:30 am Monday at Manchester Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 pm Saturday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon and from 4 - 7 pm Sunday at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Roodhouse where Masonic Rites will also be conducted.
