Donna M. Bickerton

Donna M. Bickerton, 92, of Galesburg, died at 5 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021, in Heartland Health Care Center.

She was born September 24, 1928, in Alexis, the daughter of George and Hazel (Bellinger) Sperry.  She married Gerald Martin on February 26, 1950 in Monmouth.

She is survived by two children, Pamela Wildermuth of Galesburg and Kirby L. Martin of Las Vegas, Nevada; a daughter in-law, Katrina Ludington of Panhandle, Texas; two grandchildren, Jenn (Jeff) Walter and Lisa (Gonzalo Tiscareno) Wildermuth; five great grandchildren, Alex, Haleigh and Drake Tiscareno and Jaxson and Jakob Walter; She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Albert Sperry; and three sisters, Jean Miller, her twin, Helen McKinney, Wilma “Billie” Kernan and foster Son, Ralph Ludington.

Donna graduated from Alexis High School in 1946.Donna worked at Experience Works as a Field Operations Assistant, retiring at the age of 83.  She was a former member of the Fairview United Methodist Church and church circles.  Donna was a current member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Galesburg.  She was a former member of the Warren County Home Extension and had served as the Warren County 4-H Chairperson.  She loved playing cards and spending time with her family. She was always up for an outing.  Donna lived most of her life in Monmouth until moving to Galesburg in 1996.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday March 25, 2021 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel.  Graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. Friday March 26, 2021 in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Deacon Michael Crummer will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made to Fairview Center United Methodist Church or OSF Hospice.
