Donna E. Dickerson

61, of Galesburg and formerly of Abingdon died at 10:35 am Friday, June 27, 2008 at her home. She was born on May 18, 1947 in Galesburg to William "Ted" and Patricia Woollums DeJaynes. She married Dave Dickerson on May 29, 1965 in Abingdon. He survives. Donna is also survived by her mother, Patty DeJaynes of Galesburg; two sons, David (and Terri) Dickerson of Abingdon, Ron Dickerson of Galesburg: a daughter, Sherry (and Chris) McIntyre of Galesburg; three grandchildren, Cody Dickerson, Taylor Dickerson and Bailey Dickerson; a brother, Snookie (and Donna) DeJaynes of Abingdon; two sisters, Sandy (and LeRoy) Colwell of Abingdon and Kathy (and Daryl) Alderman of East Peoria. She was preceded in death by her dad, an infant daughter, Sandra Jean Dickerson and a sister, Debbie DeJaynes. Donna graduated from Abingdon High School in 1965. She had lived in Galesburg since 2002 and prior had lived in Abingdon all her life. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Abingdon. She was an avid "Pogo" game player on the computer and loved Bingo. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Rev. Randy Randle and Rev. Rick Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday at the chapel. Memorials may be made to the family.
