Doren E. Poland

76, 506 E. Latimer St., died at 3:45 pm Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born August 18, 1927 in Roseville to Charles Edwin and Lettie Marie Helton Poland. He married Caryl Carlson on June 12, 1949 at the First Lutheran Church in Galesburg. She survives. Also surviving are one son, David (and Sheri Owen) Poland of Rural Galesburg; two daughters, Chris (and Jim) Morrison of Collinsville and Patricia (and Ed) McDonald of Abingdon; 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Rosemary Hanson, one brother, Bob Poland. He had lived in Abingdon most of his life.
