Dr. Davis graciously hosted the new Grad Students (Class of 1978) to his home for drinks and games in Sep 1976. Dr. Davis was my instructor for Operations Research/Linear Programming where we tackled some really cool and difficult problems. Dr. Davis was an inspiration to my learning and he will be missed.

Our condolences to the family of our dear friend Bob Davis. Bob was our friend for sixty years. He filled a special place in my life as he did for many others. We should all remember the good times we shared with him and there were many.
