Esther Fluke

104, RR Berwick died at 12:05 pm Monday, June 2, 2003 at her home. She was born Jan. 12, 1899 in Alexis, the daughter of Charles and Victoria Armond Anderson. She married J. Harry Fluke on June 11, 1924 in Alexis. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1967. Surviving are one son, Eugene Fluke of St. Augustine, Il.; six grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by parents, a grandson, Michael Wayne Fluke, two brothers, Reuben and Willard Anderson and a sister, Victoria Waters. She graduated from Alexis High School. She attended Western Illinois University and Illinois State University. She taught school in Warren and Mercer Counties for many years. She had served as Red Cross chairman for Berwick Township. She was a member of the Warren County Home Extension for 72 years and was a charter member and helped organize the Warren County Home Bureau. She was a former leader of the girlé
