79 of 305 Stockdale Lane died at 2:20 am Thursday, September 23, 2004 at the Care Center of Abingdon. He was born on July 5, 1925 on the family farm in Warren County to Arthur and Helen "Nell" Farrell Hallbick. He married Wilma Florine on October 7, 1961 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Galesburg. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Patricia Hallbick of Webster, TX and Annette (and John) Hough of Clinton, TN; one sister, Helen (and Earl) Danforth of Galesburg; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Hallbick. He had lived in the Abingdon area all his life where he farmed in Warren and Knox counties retiring in 1986. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Harry E. Wiles American Legion Post #381. He was a member of the Knox County Farm Bureau. Services will be at 10:00 am Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Presley officiating. Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 until 5:00 pm Sunday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon with a Rosary service at 5:00 pm. Memorials may be made to his church or American Legion Post #381.
