72 of Galesburg, IL formerly of Bradenton, FL, died at 12:50 pm Monday, September 19, 2005 at the Hawthorne Inn. She was born October 23, 1932 near Cash in Craighead County, Arkansas to Alvie and Myrtle Dunn Gossage. She married Jackson Leonard Cook on March 23, 1947 in Newport, Arkansas. They divorced. She then married Ronald Calvin in May of 1995 in Bradenton, FL. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2004. Surviving are one daughter, Anita (Jerry) Sharp, near Little Swan Lake, rural Avon, IL; two sons, Dan Cook of Michigan City, Indiana and Dalton Cook of Bradenton, Florida; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; one brother, Devan (Earlene) Gossage of Cash, Arkansas; two sisters, Helen (Paul) Holder of Swifton, Arkansas and Macel (Ray) Armour of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She had lived in Galesburg the past year and prior to that had lived in Michigan City, IN and in Bradenton, FL for 20 years where she managed the K & K Mobile Home Park. She was of the Baptist Faith. Cremation will be accorded. Private family services will be held at the Abingdon Cemetery. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
