Florence Kelley

85, 971 S. Farnham St., Galesburg died at 2:41 PM Monday March 31, 2008 in Galesburg Cottage Hospital. She was born January 3, 1923 in Galesburg the daughter of Wilbur "Hughey" and May Schwartz Rork. She married Harry Byron Grice. She later married Fred J. Kelley in Galesburg on April 26, 1997. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, William Harry Grice of Parker, AZ and James Rodger Grice of West Minister, CA; one daughter, Sandra May Butkus of Parker, AZ, one step son, F. Clinton Kelley of Virginia Beach, VA, eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Grice and two brothers, Charles and John "Jack". She was a homemaker. She has lived in Galesburg since 1994 and grew up in Abingdon. She was a member of the Abingdon United Methodist Church and was baptized as an infant. Funeral service are scheduled for 10 AM Saturday April 5, 2008 at the Abingdon United Methodist Church. The Rev. Paul Dinges will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Abingdon United Methodist Church. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
