Garry Harold Hutson

40 of 385 Indiana Ave., Galesburg and formerly of Abingdon died at 8:30 am Saturday, July 17, 2004 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on March 5, 1964 in Abingdon to George H. and Peggy A. Miles Hutson. Surviving are his parents of Berwick; three sisters, Beth (and Paul) Maier of Bloomington, Janice (and John) DuMont of Snellville, GA and Nancy Hutson of Madison, WI; his grandmother, LaVeda Miles of Alpha; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather. He had lived in the Abingdon and Galesburg areas all his life. He graduated from Abingdon High School and later from Bradley University in 1987 with a bachelor degree. He attended the Abingdon United Methodist Church and later attended the Central Congregational Church in Galesburg. He worked in housekeeping at Galesburg Cottage Hospital for two years and later worked at Maytag for seven years. He was an avid bicyclist and runner. He was an organ donor. Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 23, 2004 at the Central Congregational Church in Galesburg. Rev. Linda Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Bridgeway Community Support Program or Central Congregational Church.
