Geneva J. Bowman Neumann

, 83 of London, OH formerly of Abingdon died at 3:47 pm Monday, March 7, 2005 at Ohio Sate University Hospital in Columbus, OH. She was born on October 3, 1921 in Buffalo, NY to Daniel Grant and Lilly May Surena Abner. She married Louis "Shorty" Bowman. He preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Craig (and Ann) Bowman of London, OH and Galen (and Pat) Bowman of Salem, IN; one daughter, Sheila (and John) Ayers of London, OH; one sister, Winnie Schmitt of DesMoines, IA; 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Doris Mecum and a brother, Howard Abner. She had lived in London, OH the past six months and prior to that had lived in Abingdon and in Phoenix, AZ. She was of the Methodist faith. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Friday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Burial will be in the Cuba Cemetery in Cuba, IL. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
