George Mason Dickerson

, 64, a resident of the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville and formerly of Abingdon and Galesburg died at 11:35 am Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at the Knox County Nursing Home. He was born on July 31, 1940 in Abingdon to Forrest and Dorothy Scott Dickerson. Surviving are one brother, Richard Dickerson of Galesburg and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. He grew up in Abingdon and later moved to California for twenty years before returning to Galesburg. He worked at the Abingdon Pottery for several years. Services will be at 1:00 pm Friday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon. Edward "Snook" DeJaynes will officiate. Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the service on Friday at the chapel. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice.
