91 of 410 S. Main St., died at 6:45 am Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005 at Heartland Health Care Center in Galesburg. She was born April 1, 1914 in Tallula, IL to David and Emaline Holliday Meyers. She married Clyde K. Peterson on February 15, 1933 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1980. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Clyde Peterson, Jr. and Gale Peterson, two grandsons, one sister and two brothers. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy (David) Courson and Sally Housh, both of Galesburg; two sons, Donald (Linda Fry) Peterson of Monmouth and Bill (Ramona Sickles) Peterson of Abingdon; 24 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. She attended Webster School and graduated from Manual High School in Peoria. She had lived in Abingdon all her adult life. She worked at the Blue Bell Mfg. in Abingdon, in the art department at the Abingdon Pottery and was a homemaker. She was a member and past vice president of Mothers of WW II, a past member of Abingdon Police Auxiliary, a former volunteer at the Abingdon Food Pantry and Clothing Center and at the Care Center of Abingdon. She was a member of the Democratic Party and served as an election judge for 28 years. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 é
