Jonathon Carter Obituary

23 of Canton died at 6:33 am Thursday, June 7, 2007 at home. He was born on August 6, 1983 in Canton to John and Connie Rowley Carter. Survivors include his mother, Connie Carter and her friend Joe Stuber of Canton; his father and stepmother, John and Rhonda Carter of Arkansas; two sons; two brothers, Cody and Jeremy both of Canton; three sisters, Jennifer, Megan and Brittany all of Canton; a half-sister Hannah Carter of Arkansas; two stepsisters, Briana Sayer and Jessica Efram of Arkansas; his grandparents, Tom Rowley of Canton, Emma "Patsy" and Glen Lambert of Arkansas, George Carter of Abingdon; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Charlotte Rowley, an aunt, Christine Carter and a cousin, Zach Nell. Jon grew up in Lewistown and attended the Lewistown schools. He had lived in Arkansas, where he worked as a marble cutter for a countertop company and has lived in Canton the past seven years and worked at the J.C. Penney Store. His hobbies included riding four wheelers and motorcycles, bow hunting, camping, fishing and just being in the outdoors. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Monday, June 11, 2007 at The First Church of the Nazarene in Canton. Burial will be in Shields Chapel Cemetery, RR Canton. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Monday at the church. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements for the family.
