75 of 911 Macomb Road died at 2:50 pm Thursday, October 5, 2006 at his home. He was born on January 2, 1931 in Williamsburg, PA to Carey and Viola Dopp. He married Doris June Allen on June 20, 1954 in Abingdon. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Allen Blain (And Ruth) Dopp of Somerset, KY; two daughters, Joleen June Dopp Carle of RR Monmouth and Amy Louise (and Hank) Adcox of Somerset, KY; one brother, Herbert (and Jean) Dopp of Williamsburg, PA; one sister, Jane (and Ralph) Deeters of Williamsburg, PA; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dan Dopp. He grew up in Williamsburg, PA, where he graduated from high school. He then served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He later moved to the rural Cameron, IL area and had lived the past 41 years at his RR Galesburg address. He worked at Maytag Corporation for 39 years retiring on January 1, 1994. He was a member of the St. Augustine Christian Church. Graveside service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg. Dan McGrew and Hank Adcox will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Augustine Christian Church or Samaritan's Purse.
