Katherine H. Roller

94, 311 E. Simmons St., Apt. 302, Galesburg died at 11:35 am Friday, August 1, 2003 at her home. She was born August 2, 1908 in Abingdon to John and Josephine Davis Hooker. She married Charles C. Roller on August 19, 1933 in Peoria. He preceded her in death in 1981. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. Surviving are nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She graduated from Abingdon High School and attended the former Lombard College in Abingdon and later Bradley University in Peoria and Western Illinois University in Macomb. She was a school teacher and homemaker and had lived in Galesburg the past ten years. She was of the Methodist faith. Cremation will be accorded. A graveside committal of cremains will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 9, 2003 at the Abingdon Cemetery with Eleanor Landon officiating. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
