Ms. Kathleen “Kathy” Miller, 76, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 9:07 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Kathleen was born on February 23, 1949, in Springfield, the daughter of Leonard and Bessie (Bundy) Miller. She married John Taylor in 1969 and they divorced in 1976. She then married Lawrence Stoneking in 1978, he preceded her in death in 1980. She married Charles Brand in 1996. They divorced in 2003.
She attended Galesburg area schools and later went on to work at Admiral Corporation.
Kathleen is survived by her sons, John (Rebecca) Taylor of Galesburg, Brian Taylor of Texas, and Charles (Katrina) Stoneking of Monmouth, daughters, Brenda (Carroll) White of Missouri, Virginia (Jacob) Bostwick of Arizona, and Pamela (Dan) Stoneking of Galesburg, brothers, Leonard Jr., Kevin, Michael, Steven, David, and Daniel, sisters, Barbara Renfroe, Shirley Cox, Carol Riley, Robin Whitaker, and Cheryl Taylor, 26 grandchildren, Travis, James, Starla, John, Amanda, Racheal, Rebecca, Destiny, Autumn, Summer, Elizabeth, Robert, Tifany, CJ, Rocky, Douglas, Hannah, Keeghan, Konnor, Kelsey, Levi, Noah, Max, Kenzlee, Novalee, and Owan, 31 great grandchildren, and her fur baby, Max. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Johnny Taylor, a daughter, Tina Foutch, two brothers, James and Larry, two sisters, Bonnie Reed and Connie Miller, and her fur baby, Elvis.
Kathy enjoyed her scratch-offs, her beloved dogs, Max and Elvis, watching wrestling, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
As Kathy requested, Cremation will be accorded. A private family burial will be held at Abingdon Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
