Kevin Patrick Livingston

Kevin Patrick Livingston, 53, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

Kevin was born on June 27, 1972, in Galesburg, the son of Kathleen Shane and Steven M. Ross. He attended ROWVA schools and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy from 1991 to 1997, a time in his life he held with deep pride.

For many years, Kevin worked at the Maytag Corporation, where he was known as a dedicated and dependable employee. Outside of work, Kevin found peace in the outdoors. He loved fishing, spending time at the range, and simply being outside. He was a man who appreciated life’s quieter moments. Kevin was a faithful member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

Above all else, Kevin cherished his family. He shared over 18 years of love and partnership with his fiancée, Amy Riley and her children, Austin and Brandon. He will also be lovingly remembered by his mother, Kathleen Shane-Livingston of Galesburg; his father, Steve (Sue) Ross of Greenbush, Illinois; his adopted parents, Michael (Frances) Livingston of Wataga, Illinois; his brothers, Josh Livingston of Galesburg and Chris (Miki) Livingston of Los Angeles, California; his half-brother, Mike Okrzesik of Galesburg; half-sister, Ginger Jones of Spokane, Washington; stepbrother, Jared Ross of Mt. Sterling, Illinois; and his stepsister, Karla (Mike) DeGona of Yucaipa, California.

Kevin was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Gerald and Mary Ross and Ray and Maxine Shane, and by his infant daughter, Jade, whom he now holds again.

A Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, Galesburg Chapel. Visitation will follow from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Graveside services with full Military Honors will take place at 12:15 p.m. at East Linwood Cemetery.
