Loren C. Jeglin

Loren C. Jeglin, 70, of Galesburg, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the Marigold Rehabilitation and Health Care Center of Galesburg.

He was born August 27, 1953 in Walla Walla, Washington the son of Marvin Ray and Sharon Adele (Thompson) Jeglin. He graduated from San Jacinto High School with the class of 1971. During his Highschool career he partook in playing with both the football and wrestling team. Loren was also a member of the FFA and 4H groups.

His passion for farming followed him into adulthood as he worked at a dairy farm as well as breeding cattle. Loren later drove concrete mixing trucks for almost 20 years. Loren was an excellent auto mechanic who even spent his free time building racing cars. In his younger years he loved riding horses, fishing, and partaking in many rodeos. He still enjoyed his hobbies later in life by watching football and wrestling, as well as rodeo and street racing shows. Loren was a very caring and helpful man who will be missed by all who knew him. But now Loren is finally united with his best four-legged friend Clyde.    

Loren is survived by his brothers, Harlan (and Nathalie) Jeglin of Galesburg, Marvin (and Karen) Jeglin of San Jacinto, California, and John Jeglin of Hawthorne, California. His sisters, Teresa (and Lee) Miguel of Redcrest, California, Carol (and Melvin) Benner of Sandy Valley, Nevada, Maryalis Cagliero of Fallbrook, California, and a sister-in-law Sylvine Stites of Galesburg. Loren is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Cecila Mankin, and many beloved four-legged friends.
