Lucille Inez Tinkham

73 of 508 S. Western Ave., died at 4:43 am Friday, May 15, 2009 at her home. She was born November 6, 1935 in Galesburg, IL, a daughter of Homer and Sadie (Miller) Morse. She married Robert E. Tinkham on June 21, 1958 in Maquon, IL. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1999. Lucille was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael Tinkham, four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by one son, David (and Shelly) Tinkham of Abingdon, IL; a daughter, Roberta "Bobbi" (and John) Cycotte of Trivoli, IL; a daughter-in-law, Kathie Tinkham of Abingdon, IL; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a brother, Leland Morse of Cambridge, IL; two sisters, Colleen Hillyer of Galesburg, IL and Anna May Hayes of Havana, IL. Lucille graduated from Spoon River Valley Schools in 1953. She had lived in the Maquon and Abingdon areas all her life. She worked at the Zellar Mental Health Center in Peoria as a Mental Health Technician for several years. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, doing puzzles, bird watching, cooking and baking. Lucille also loved the companionship of her pet Yorkie, Tiki. Cremation will be accorded. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Abingdon Cemetery. Mrs. Eleanor Landon will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family.
