M. Louise Hulick

87, 300 N. Jefferson St. Apt. 301, died at 8:15 pm Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at her home. She was born on May 2, 1916 in Roseville to Ray and Mabel E. Enfield Swanson. She married Loren D. Hulick on March 27, 1937 in Henderson, IL. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1971. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Traversino of Sanford, NC and Jeanine (and Jim) Ortery of Abingdon; three grandchildren, Bart Smith & Neeley Prince of Abingdon and Jessica Traversino of Sanford, NC; three great-grandchildren, Crae Prince, Duncan Thayer & Aeslyn Seroka; one brother, Ray J. Swanson of Plant City, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. She had lived in Abingdon since 1970. Prior to that, she lived in the St. Augustine area. She worked at the former Blue Bell Mfg., Fey's Processing, Kronstead Grocery and Russ's Grocery all in Abingdon. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a former member of the Grandmothers Club and TOPS. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Saturday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon with Eleanor Landon officiating. Burial will be in the Avon Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the service on Saturday at the chapel. Memorials may be made to the family.
