89, of 300 N. Jefferson St., Abingdon, IL died at 7:22 PM Monday, November 3, 2003 in the Care Center of Abingdon. She was born on January 22, 1914 in Roseville, IL to Joseph and Viola Lang Emminger. She married Irby Johnson in Oquawka, IL on December 14, 1929. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1971. She is survived by a daughter, Della (and Larry) Ashley of Abingdon, IL, eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and four great great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother and a sister. She was a seamstress the Blue Bell for several years. She worked for the Carl Sands Insurance Agency. She worked in the Brass Room of the Abingdon Pottery. She and her husband owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Farmington, IL. She retired in 1979. She lived in Abingdon IL most her life. She was a member of the Abingdon Christian Church. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, November 6, 2003 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel with Mrs. Eleanor Landon officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be made to the O'Halleran Family c/o Abingdon Banking Center 805 N. Monroe St. Abingdon IL 61410.
