Margaret Lace Aplin

47 of Monmouth died at 2:25 pm Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Great River Medical Center ER in Burlington, IA. She was born on October 25, 1959 in Galesburg to Richard and Jeannie Hager Aplin. Lace is survived by five daughters, Jamie Kae Collins (and Sam) of Belvidere, IL, Elizabeth Williams Neace (and Chris)of Carson City, NV, Salina Aplin Gorman (and Dustin) , Elizabeth Anne Aplin Murdock (and Micheal) and Rose Aplin Murdock all of Monmouth, IL; two sons, Jake Aplin Gorman (and Sandra) and Steven Aplin Applegate both of Monmouth, IL; two brothers, Mike (and Carol) Aplin of RR Abingdon, IL and Rick (and Cheryl) Aplin of RR Berwick, IL; 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. She had lived in Monmouth the past seven years. Prior to that, she had made her home in Galesburg, Abingdon, Williamsfield and Las Vegas, NV. She was a homemaker who loved being a mother and grandmother. Music was the heartbeat of her life and family. Lace was a generous giver who opened her heart and home to anyone who needed it. Cremation was accorded. A Remembrance Celebration will be held beginning at 4:00 pm Sunday, August 19th, at Monmouth Park, North 11th St., Monmouth, IL. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
