61 of rural Abingdon died at 10:34 am Thursday, January 13, 2005 at her home. She was born on March 21, 1943 in Kewanee to Wiley William and Marjorie Bryner Mulligan. She married John Rogers on August 11, 1960 in Galesburg. She later married Paul Meyer on June 24, 1988 in Burlington, Iowa. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Rob L. (and Mary) Rogers of Abingdon, John W. Rogers of Joy, IL; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Rogers of Gilson; 7 grandchildren; her step-mother, Gerry Mulligan of St. Paul, MN; two step-sisters, one step-brother, four half-brothers and one half-sister. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Randy L. Rogers and one daughter, Tami Rogers. She attended schools in Kewanee and Galesburg. She worked as the office manger for Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg for eleven years. She was also an avid artist. She had lived in Galesburg for several years and near Abingdon for the past 18 years. Cremation will be accorded. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 pm Sunday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West chapel in Abingdon followed by a prayer service at 4:00 pm conducted by Eleanor Landon. Memorials may be made to the family.
