Mark Gene Widmer

born April 11, 1953 to Merle Gene Widmer and Delores Stegall (Keaton) passed away on December 9, 2007. He is survived by his Father and Stepmother, Merle Gene and Claire Widmer of Peoria, his mother Delores Keaton of Columbia Illlinois, his Sisters, Mary Jo (Widmer) Greytak of Edwardsville and Nancy (Widmer) Cripe of Waterloo Illinois and the proud Uncle of Joshua Richie, William Greytak, Jr. and Terry Cripe. He is also survived by his Aunts, Loretta Kauffman-Funk of Eureka, IL, Pauline Herrman of Peoria and Viola Kauffman of Morton, IL. Mark was preceded in death by his paternal Grandparents Donat (Tony) and Lilly Widmer of Morton, IL and his maternal Grandparents Martin and Lora Stegall of Abingdon, IL, an uncle and four aunts. For nearly 30 years Widmer was involved in long distance transportation. He was a passionate fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Bulls. Mark was also a history buff and loved fishing the rivers and lakes around central Illinois. His funeral will be held in Abingdon, IL at the Hinchliff-Pearsoné
