Marlene Wynkoop Obituary

71 of 709 W. Monmouth St. died at 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg. She was born on April 7, 1933 in Galesburg to James Henry and Lena Alice Roller Wynkoop. She married Junior H. Cramer on October 25, 1952 in Abingdon. Surviving are two sons, James H. (and Tonya McCall) Cramer of Topeka, KS and Steven M. Cramer of Delong; one sister, Sue (and Marvin) Cramer of RR St. Augustine; a special friend, Ron Parlier with whom she shared her home; four grandchildren, Breanna and Alyssa Garcia, Alec Steven Marty-Cramer and Jonna Shamblin; one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Rebecca Hart. She had lived in Abingdon most of her life. She graduated from Abingdon High School. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Abingdon. She was a former member of the Women of the Moose Lodge in Galesburg. She worked for the State of Illinois for twenty years. Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon. Rev. N. Annette Faull and Eleanor Landon will officiate. Private burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to her church or to the Knox County Humane Society.
