51, of Sun City AZ formerly of the Galesburg area died at 1:12 AM Saturday April 7, 2007 in Boswell Hospital Sun City AZ. He was born June 4, 1955 in Galesburg the son of Elmer J. and Alberta M. Kilpatrick Gilbert. He is survived by his mother Alberta (and Joseph) Vallero of Sun City AZ, one son Marvin Shane (and Ann) Gilbert of Knoxville IL, one daughter Chastity (and Andrew) Martin of Metamora, IL, one brother E. Jake (Melody) Gilbert of Galesburg and one sister Sue Daniels of Galesburg and 4 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father and a granddaughter. He worked for Sun Health in Sun City AZ transporting patients. He has lived in Arizona for the past five years. He graduated from Abingdon High School and attended Carl Sandburg College. He was of the Christian Faith. He had received his private pilot's license. He enjoyed flying, boating, reading and history. Private family services are scheduled with the Elder Ron Messner officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
