Matt was a wonderful spirit. Quick with a joke, a smile or a helping hand. He put the needs of others above his own more often than not. Kelly is my best friend and Matt made her the happiest Ive seen her. We had several long Godzilla vs Gamera debates. You will be missed brother. I love you.

Saddened is truly an understatement, Matt had such a great heart and the mischievous smile as stated below. His dry sense of humor was something that you could always count on. I had the privilege of knowing Matt growing up in Galesburg. After graduation even though we all went our separate ways in life and in different directions, nothing would change when we would see each other again. It was as if we had never left, that is what would separate Matt from everyone else. He was such a caring genuine person. He will be truly missed.

Truly heart broken, such a great person. Matt had such a great heart and smile. He was reserved and quiet which only meant he was thinking about some one liner. Which was always sarcastic and awesome.

Uncle John, Mike and Joe,
I struggle to find words to express my feelings concerning our loss. My heart is heavy to think we lost our brother this soon. Understand that our departed loved are always safer with God than they are with us. Matt fulfilled his duties here on earth and has a higher calling on the other side. I know he will serve his Master well. Love you guys and may the Lord bless.
