Michael Tinkham Obituary

44 of 268 Knox Highway 5, Abingdon died at 4:59 am Thursday, November 27, 2008 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Mike was born on November 22, 1964 in Peoria, IL to Robert and Lucille Morse Tinkham. He married Kathie Hoadley on November 9, 1990 in Galesburg. She survives. He is also survived by his mother, Lucille Tinkham of Abingdon; one son, Robert Tinkham at home; two daughters, Tiffani Tinkham at home and Angel Tinkham of Galesburg; two granddaughters, Laci and Emily Tinkham; one brother, David Tinkham of Abingdon; one sister, Roberta "Bobbi" Cycotte of Trivoli. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Kenneth Tinkham and one sister, Connie Melleny. Mike has always lived in Abingdon. He graduated from Abingdon High School in 1982. He served in the Navy from 1982-1984. He was a factory worker and also worked as a CNA at the former LaMoine Nursing Home in Roseville until he became disabled. He was a past member of ABATE. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, listening to music, playing video games and liked monsters, as Halloween was his favorite time of year. Graveside service will be at 10:00 am Monday, December 1, 2008 at the Abingdon Cemetery. Mrs. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Robert and Tiffani Tinkham Education Fund in care of Tompkins State Bank in Abingdon.
