Mildred J. Kruzan Brown

76, formerly of RR Abingdon died at 6:08 pm Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center in Galesburg. She was born on May 2, 1933 in Canton, IL, the daughter of Clarence Edward and Alice May (McCamant) Kruzan. She married George F. Brown on July 6, 1951 in Lewistown. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters. Mildred is survived by two sons, Keith (and Nina) Brown of RR St. Augustine and Kevin (and Darlene) Brown of Abingdon; four grandchildren, Bryan, Brisk, Shane (and Talitha) and Zackery; 2 great-grandchildren, Dane and Zoeie; two brothers, Harold (and Dorla) Kruzan of Bryant and Joseph (and Ann) Kruzan of Canton; one sister, Regina Winchell of Peoria.She graduated from Canton High School. She was a homemaker and was the babysitter for her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was of the Christian faith. Her hobbies included fishing, camping and spending time with her family and a special friend, Charlotte Mears of Abingdon. Cremation will be accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
