82 of 605 S. Main St. died at 9:10 am Friday, April 30, 2004 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg. She was born on October 7, 1921 in Abingdon to Matteo and Rachele Receniello Rescinito. Surviving are one brother, Joe (and Joan) Rescinito of Lakeland, FL; three sisters, Antoinette (and Guy, Jr.) Legate of Galesburg, Rose Cundy of St. Petersburg, FL, and Elvira (and Bill) Krogmeier of Holyoke, CO; a brother-in-law, Gennaro "Jerry" Pandolfo of Abingdon,8 nieces and 4 nephews, several great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Pandolfo and an infant sister. She had lived in Abingdon all her life where she attended Abingdon schools. She worked at the former Blue Bell Manufacturing in Abingdon and later at Galesburg Protexall Inc. from where she retired. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abingdon, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Legion of Mary. She was also a member of the National Order of Foresters where she was on the public relations committee, the Sewing Club and was a volunteer at OSF St. Mary Medical Center and the Care Center of Abingdon. She also was a volunteer visitor of the sick in homes and medical facilities. Services will be at 10:00 am Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abingdon. Rev. Joseph Presley will officiate. Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 until 7:00 pm Sunday at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel in Abingdon with a Rosary service at 7:00 pm. Memorials may be made to her church or to Community Hospices of America or Seminary Manor
