Miss Clara Foster

75, of 606 S. Main St. died at 2:36 pm Thursday, October 5, 2006 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg. She was born on September 13, 1931 in Galesburg to Mesler L. and Zaida V. Ray Foster. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Surviving are several cousins. She graduated from Abingdon High School in 1950. She was a beautician and worked for Editha Brashear until 1955. She then opened Clara's Beauty Shop and has worked out of her home for 51 years. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel. Eleanor Landon will officiate. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Saturday at the chapel.
