Miss Julia "JuJu" Brown Obituary

Julia Ann Brown, 55, of Galesburg, died on Thursday, September 2, 2021 in OSF Hospice’s exceptional care.

Julia was born on August 15, 1966 to Walter and Colleen (Davis) Brown, and was born and raised in Galesburg alongside her thee siblings Cindy, Diana and James. Julia was "little Sis" to Kay Melton and Teresa Schisler. She was also the beloved adopted "Aunt JuJu" to Zaylee Combs, Brad, Megan, Jacob, Keegan, Lilli and Macie Melton.

She enjoyed watching NACAR, listening to Joan Jett, collecting dragons, reading Stephen King books and assisting at Simply Done Bakery formerly located in Abingdon. Julia's quirky sense of humor, legendary stubborn streak, contagious laughter and beautiful smile will be forever remembered by those who knew and loved her and will be missed by many.

As per Julie’s wishes, cremation will be accorded. No services are to be held. Memorials can be made to the Guardian Angel Foundation and OSF Hospice care. Hinchliff –Pearson-West is honored to be serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
