Miss Ruth L. Medhurst

91, a resident of the Care Center of Abingdon, died at 11:10 pm Monday, March 22, 2004 at the Care Center. She was born on January 4, 1913 in Windfield, Iowa to Ward and Jessie Medhurst. Surviving are a brother, Merle (and Eunice) Medhurst of Lexington, SC and a caregiver, Joanne (and Ron) Batson of Abingdon and cousins. She had lived in Abingdon most of her life. She was an artist. Graveside service will be at 10 am Thursday at the Silent Home Cemetery near Cameron. Eleanor Landon will officiate. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West chapel in Abingdon in charge of arrangements.
