Miss Samantha Joelle Cooper Obituary

Miss Samantha Joelle Cooper, age 30, of Galesburg, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Monday, July 8, 2024, after a long and devastating battle with diabetes.

She was born April 1, 1994, in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of Jay and Nadine (McBroom) Cooper.

Samantha is survived by her parents Jay and Nadine, her son Jackson Morss, and her sister Christina (Cooper) Cassiday. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Sheryl Bacon.

Samantha was known as being a spunky and fun person. She took pride in getting to know everyone she met on a deep and personal level and was the definition of a social butterfly. Samantha was a lover of animals, art, and music. She loved being creative and thoughtful, and loved seeing people’s face light up when giving them gifts. Samantha’s favorite pastime was disk golfing, even keeping up with the activity even when her health started to rapidly decline.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of Samantha’s life will be held at H.T. Custer Park Pavillion on July 17th from 3pm-7pm. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
