Mr. Chris E. Peak

Mr. Chris E. Peak, 70, of Galesburg, Illinois died 8:54 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at his home. 

He was born July 27, 1951, in Danville, Illinois to Edward and Wanda J. (Pruitt) Peak.  He married Sheryll Danforth, January 30, 1999, in Galesburg. 

Surviving is his wife, Sheryll Peak of Galesburg, a stepson, Brad Siever of Rushville, Illinois, a stepdaughter, Rebecca “Becca” Siever of Washington, Illinois, a brother, Edward Peak, Jr. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, two sisters, Linda (and Dannie) Chapin of Cameron, Illinois and Cheryl Miller of Cedar Rapids, 2 step grandchildren and a step great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Brittany Peak, and two brothers, David Peak and Michael Peak. 

Chris worked several jobs in the Galesburg area including Phoenix Industries and as a surveyor for Bruner, Cooper and Zuck, Inc.  Chris loved the outdoors, camping, and especially gardening. 

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel.  Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the chapel.  Rev. Martha Jean Fitch will officiate.  Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
