Mr. Cory Poplett

Mr. Cory Poplett, 55, of Galesburg, passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2024 at home.

Cory was born on January 21, 1969, the son of Theodore and Judith Poplett.

He is survived by his wife, Carrie Bolon Poplett; two daughters, Fylisha (Justin) Kruse of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Stephanie (Jacob) Brunning of Comanche, Iowa; two sons, Cory Meador of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Christopher Meador of Albion, Michigan; two grandchildren, Brody and Paisley Brunning; and his siblings, Ronda (Ron) Spicher of Galesburg, Lisa (Dave) Munson of Galesburg, Vicky Neal of Texas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Cory is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David Poplett and Ronald Quinn Jr.

Cory graduated with the class of 1987 at Galesburg High School. He later served three years in the Army before going to work at the Holland L.P.. In his free time, Cory was an avid sport fan. His favorite teams were the Chicago Cubs, Rams, and the Chicago Bears.
