Mr. Daniel Garrett Thompson

Mr. Daniel Garrett Thompson, 35, passed away at 6:14 am Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at home with his mother by his side.

Daniel was born April 24, 1985 in Grand Junction, Colorado the son of Robert and Connie Miller Thompson.

He is survived by his mother, Connie Thompson and his brother, Jessie Wolfe both of Galesburg; his Aunts and Uncles, Mike (Sinna Mae) Miller of San Antonio, Texas, Dan Miller of Mattoon, Illinois, Joe Miller of Quincy, Illinois, Mark (Annie) Miller of Palmyra, Missouri, Special Uncle Terry Miller of Charleston, Illinois, Sandra (Ron) Bauswell of Galesburg, Annie B of Charleston, and Vickie (Mike) Schulte of Wright, Wyoming and several cousins survive. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Daniel worked as a security guard for the Omaha State Bank in Omaha, Nebraska for three years before his illness. He graduated from Monmouth High School in 2004 and was attending the University of Phoenix to complete a degree in criminal justice. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding horses and hiking. Daniel loved his Lord and was a member of Northwoods Community Church.

Dan’s wishes were to be cremated with a Celebration of his life. Due to social distancing related to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dan’s Celebration will be announced for a later date.
