Mr. Douglas Williams Obituary

Mr. Douglas K. Williams, 65, of Galesburg Illinois, passed away 6:20 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria with his wife by his side.

Doug was born May 10, 1955 in Galesburg, the son of Earl and Loraine (Maleck) Williams. He married Vicki Melton July 8, 1994 in Galesburg.

Doug is survived by his wife, Vicki; their children, Eric (and Bree) Housh of Athens, Illinois, Jennifer (and James) Jacobs of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren, Ana, Lexi, Carlin, Chase, Aunt, Rita (and Brad) Zeigler Galesburg, Uncle, Clark (and Trudy) Strader of Michigan; a brother, Dean Williams of Burlington Iowa, his faithful companion, Cosmo and many friends and family.

He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1973. In his earlier years, he worked for BNSF, then became a motorcycle mechanic. Doug had a love for riding motorcycles and being with his family. He enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. Doug was a member of A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois.

Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Doug’s life will be at a later date when all can gather. Memorials may be made to the family or A.B.A.T.E.
