Mr. Frank H. Carson

Mr. Frank Harvey Carson, 76, passed away at 9:55 am Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.

Frank was born on August 7, 1949, in Galesburg, the son of Frank Roulds and Loretta Finn Carson. He was raised by his grandparents, Lawrence and Aldine Finn. Frank married Brenda Stewart in 1971 in Galesburg.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Brenda of Galesburg; his daughters, Tyffani (Eddie) Carter of Aurora, Illinois, LaToya Carson and Ketrina Carson both of Galesburg; his brother, Thurman Carson of Hemet, California; his sisters, Margerette “Candy” Carson of Peoria, Illinois, Kathy Carson of Galesburg, Carolyn (Cleatis) Carson of Portland, Oregon and six grandchildren, DeVaughn and Khalil Hodge, Makiah Harris, Karyssa and Sylena Carter and Kymora Carson and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, John Clay Carson and his sister, Leslie Griffin.

Frank graduated from Galesburg High school and later went on to work for over 30 years for Gunther Construction. He enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. Frank also loved his sports and power lifting. Frank had a deep love for his family and was always there for everybody.

As a child Frank attended Allen Chapel AME. His strong faith continued as an adult, attending Calvary Church online regularly and spending quiet time reading his Bible in recent years.

Visitation is scheduled for 10:00-11:00 am Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the chapel. Frank will be laid to rest at East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to his family. Online condolences may be offered at www.h-p-w.com
