Gale Lee “Tiny” Little, 65, of Alexis, died unexpectedly Wednesday night, September 15, 2021, near North Henderson.
He was born April 2, 1956, in Galesburg, the son of Eugene Robert and Doris Virginia (Christy) Little. He married Kimberly Dawn Norris on September 8, 2001, at the Lincoln Park Gazebo in Galesburg.
Surviving is his mother, Doris of East Moline; his wife of 20 years, Kim; three children, Jennifer (fiancé Rick Morrison) of Pekin, Michelle (Brad) Pomeroy of Peoria Heights, and Roy (Nikki Ponce) Little of Wataga; seven grandchildren, Evelyn (Joel), Sandra, Noah, Emerson, Iris, Opal, and Maria; three great grandchildren, Hazel, Rose, and Otto; and four siblings, Dawn (Bill) Olson of East Moline, Randy (Hazy) Ross of Burlington, Iowa, David (Mary Kay) Lowenberg of Huntsville, Missouri, and Randy (Dianne) Lowenberg of Orrick, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father and a great-granddaughter, Stella.
Gale was a semi driver for 36 years before retiring. He graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1975. Gale loved tinkering with things, riding his motorcycle, hunting, and taking road trips. He was a skilled archer and at one time participated in competitions. Gale especially loved being with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. A brief prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. In line with CDC and IDPH guidelines, attendees will be required to wear a mask in the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the prayer service with burial in the Knoxville Cemetery at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021. Memorial contributions may be made to KOZ (Kids Outdoor Zone).
