Mr. Homer G. McWilliams

Mr. Homer G. McWilliams, 92, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 6:14 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Illinois.

Homer was born March 21, 1933, in Crawford County, Indiana, the son of Charles and Dova (Stepro) McWilliams. He married Nancy Joan Cermak on March 10, 1956. She preceded him in death in 2011.

He is survived by his son, David (Kathleen) McWilliams of Rockford, Illinois; one granddaughter, Jillian (Corbin) Angeles of Joliet, Illinois; and three great-grandchildren, Sophi, Theodora, and Vincent. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Kristie McWilliams; a brother and sister-in-law, Orville (Jane) Knight; and a sister, Lulabelle Knight.

Homer proudly served in the United States Air Force beginning in 1952. He was employed by Illinois Bell Telephone Company as a lineman for 35 years. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking. He and Nancy also loved traveling together in their RV throughout the country.

In accordance with Homer’s wishes, cremation will be accorded. No services are scheduled at this time. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service, Galesburg Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.h-p-w.com.
