Mr. James "Dan" D. Reynolds

Mr. James Daniel “Dan” Reynolds, 65, of Galesburg passed away at 1:45 pm Saturday, May 9, 2020 at his home.

Dan was born April 18, 1955 in Newark, Ohio the son of Ralph and Letha Dyer Reynolds. He married Lisa Mavis on January 6, 1996 in Williamsfield, Illinois.

Dan is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lisa; his children, Justin (Kim) Reynolds, Carissa (Eric) Littlefield and Nikki Cullison (Josh Fleisher) Raney all of Galesburg; his two brothers, Roger (Maggie Pendergast) Reynolds and Chuck (Kathleen Ridlon) Reynolds; his sisters, Joyce Ericson and Susie Reynolds all of Galesburg; two sisters-in-law, Lynn Mavis of Galesburg and Lori Johnson of Colorado and ten grandchildren, Ivy Dale, Shelby Morton, Toby, Zachary and Jaclynn Reynolds, Derric (Sarah) Littlefield, Cody Littlefield, Kinze and Josh Fleisher. Dan is preceded in death by his parents.

Dan worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad in the track department for over 40 years, retiring on June 1, 2015. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1973. Dan was member of the Maintenance Department Retirees Coffee Club. He was an avid Ohio State fan, loving the game of football. Dan’s main focus in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to play games and watch shows with them. He enjoyed being involved in anything they were interested in at the time.

Dan’s wishes were to be cremated with a celebration of his life. The celebration will be 4:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2020 at Cedar Creek Hall.Due to social distancing related to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dan’s Celebration will be announced for a later date. Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is handling cremation arrangements for the family.
