Mr. James T. "Jim" Lincoln Obituary

James T. Lincoln, 78, of Knoxville, died at 6:47 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at home.

He was born September 18, 1942, in Kewanee, the son of Ronald H. and Lorraine (Huggins) Lincoln.  He married Karen L. Liggett on August 26, 1967, in Monmouth.

He is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Karen; two daughters, Teresa A. Morse of Aledo and Carol (Tim) Frainer of Galesburg; six grandchildren, Greggory Hopping, Joseph Morse Jr., Felicia Jones, Gabriella Morse, Jeremiah Morse, and Rachel Morse; and four great-grandchildren, Jaxon Jones, Sora Hopping, Colt Lang, and Midori Hopping.  He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Thomas J. Lincoln; and a brother, Roger L. Lincoln.

Jim worked for Gates Rubber Company for 36 years and later at Derby Industries for 10 years.  He was a Christian.  Jim was an avid gardener and enjoyed puttering in his yard.  He also enjoyed fishing.

He served in the United States Army for two years during the Vietnam War.

Cremation will be accorded.  Family graveside service will be in Knoxville Cemetery at a later date with military honors.  There will be no visitation.  Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors in Action.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is honored to serve the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
